Plainly does not collect anything. There is no server to collect it to.
When you scan a document, the image is read on your iPhone using Apple's
on-device text recognition. The text is then analysed on your iPhone using
Apple's Foundation Models framework, which runs the language model locally on the
device's own hardware.
The document, the extracted text, and the analysis are stored only on your
iPhone. They are not uploaded, transmitted, backed up to us, or shared with any
third party. We never see them, because there is no mechanism by which we could.
If you delete a document in the app, it is removed from your device. If you
delete the app, everything goes with it.

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see
your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated sales
reporting only. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's own
privacy policy.
Plainly is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or
delete on request. Data protection rights such as those under the GDPR and the
CCPA are satisfied by design: the data never leaves your device.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new
date. If a future version of Plainly ever added a feature that transmitted data,
that change would be disclosed here and in the App Store privacy label before the
feature shipped.
