Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Policy Acknowledgement Tracker app for Confluence Cloud (the "App"), provided by Rethought ("we", "us").

1. Agreement

By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you install the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. Your purchase and billing relationship is with Atlassian under the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use; these Terms apply in addition, as the "Publisher Terms" for the App.

2. The service

The App lets Confluence administrators require and track read acknowledgements of Confluence pages, run periodic re-attestation cycles, and export acknowledgement evidence. The App runs entirely on the Atlassian Forge platform.

3. Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App within your Atlassian installation for the duration of your subscription. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the App.

4. Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the policies you track and the accuracy of assignments you configure.
• The App produces records of acknowledgement; whether those records satisfy a particular legal, regulatory, or certification requirement is your responsibility to assess. The App is a record-keeping tool, not legal advice.

5. Fees

Paid subscriptions are billed by Atlassian per the pricing shown on the App's Marketplace listing. Free tiers, trials, and refunds follow Atlassian Marketplace policies.

6. Availability and support

The App runs on Atlassian infrastructure; availability substantially depends on the Atlassian platform. We provide support on a commercially reasonable basis via the channels listed on our Support page.

7. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT USE OF THE APP WILL ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ANY STANDARD OR REGULATION (INCLUDING ISO 27001 OR SOC 2).

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate or suspend the App's availability with reasonable notice. Sections 7–10 survive termination.

10. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. We may update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
